We take our dancing seriously enough to want to perform to a high standard, but we never forget that our main reason for doing it is to have fun! You can find out about who we are here You can also find out some more about our dances here. Could you do it? Of course you could! The only qualification to join is to be female (and that only applies to the dancers - one of our musicians in definitely not female) Age doesn't matter: you're not too young (our youngest member is 10) and you are not too old (our oldest member is 'over 50'). Size doesn't matter. However tall, short, wide, narrow etc. you are, you can still dance. Experience is not required. Most of our members started never having danced a step; some of them had never even see a morris dance! Where are we? From September to June we practice on Wednesday night from 8pm at the Baptist Church Hall in Kings Sutton (OX17 3RR). During the summer we swap the church hall for dancing out at local pubs where we are joined by other morris sides. Throughout the year we dance out at many events, village fetes, folk festivals etc though we always take August off as we really need a rest by then!!! If you click here you can see where we expect to be in the coming months Want to find out more? Click here to find out how to join (or come and have a go - once you have, you'll want to join), or how to book us for your Fete, Festival, Fun Day, Birthday, Wedding or other special event. Come along and have a go - you won't regret it! |
